THE PROCESS
FROM CONSULTATION TO EXECUTION
-
STEP ONE: The Consultation
A paid 60-minute visit to walk through your space together. During this meeting, I provide personalized, real-time recommendations for layout, functionality, lighting, and styling – whatever you want to explore. You get full access to my designer perspective and my contractor wisdom.
I love to make suggestions that utilize what you already have, but I am always happy to reimagine a brand new space if you need to start from scratch. It’s all up to you! The best results often use a mix of your cherished belongings and new (even thrifted) finds. For some DIYers, this is just what they need to hit the ground running.
-
STEP TWO: The Design
To help you visualize what we discuss in The Consultation, I offer optional design services. From Mood Boards to Custom Renderings, I provide you with the level of visual detail you prefer to see inside my brain. You pay for only what you need.
I also offer add-on Custom Paint Analysis as part of the Design Step. It includes one hour to evaluate your existing colors, review your goals, and explore options. I bring my full Sherwin Williams Swatch Library and perform a real-time color study, providing recommendations on the spot. These services can provide DIYers with a visual roadmap to plot their course.
-
STEP THREE: The Estimate
This step is for those who would like me and my appropriately licensed and insured crew to perform a Full-Service Makeover.
My team and I will visit to take measurements and discuss the plans along with any accommodations. you might need during construction to minimize upheaval. After which, I provide an estimate for all materials, labor, and considerations for bringing the vision to life
-
STEP FOUR: The Review
You will look over the estimate and make sure it meets your needs and budget. At this stage, we can make final tweaks to the plan and set a timeline for completion. Once finalized, a deposit will be collected to secure your spot and allow me to order materials needed for the project. We will also discuss what you may need to do in the interim to prepare for renovations to begin. For some, that means emptying contents of a room or cabinets. For others, it might mean making arrangements to avoid the space altogether.
-
STEP FIVE: The Makeover
I see to all aspects of the project and am your single point person. We communicate regularly as the project is underway. My team communicates with me throughout so I am abreast at all times, updating you whenever necessary and answering any questions along the way. We work as swiftly as possible and clean up as we go to keep chaos to a minimum.
-
STEP SIX: The Big Reveal
When all the heavier lifting is done and finishing touches added, I will take a few AFTER photos and invite you to see your new space. We will walk through all of the updates together. I will collect the final payment and leave you with any manufacturer or warranty information you may need moving forward. Cheers to your new space!
